Nova Scotia Tourism Division is moving forward with social media in its online campaign in 2009-2010.  Kristi Wenaus, Director of Sales & Partnerships, outline some of their plans during her presentation at the Destination Cape Breton Association Annual General Meeting.  Nova Scotia tourism website has two popular blogs – Favorite Places in Nova Scotia, and Leaf Watch Program in NS,  where visitors submit their comments, photos and stories. Nova Scotia is also featured on facebook, and youtube videos.

Twitter is another popular social media program that was mentioned in her presentation. Businesses and people use twitter to tell very short stories – 140 characters either on your mobile phone or on the web.  Below is a short video in plain english what twitter is .
