Cape Breton Island Marketing Strategy

Cape Breton Island’s Marketing Strategy new website was launched recently which will provide updates regularly and communicated with the tourism industry on Cape Breton Island.  Why is a Cape Breton Island Tourism Marketing Strategy being undertaken?   

The contract to develop the Cape Breton Island Marketing Strategy was awarded to Vibe Creative Group, Sydney, NS.  This company began work on January 30th and is expected to complete the project by July 31, 2008.  The marketing strategy is funded by ECBC – $125,000, NS Tourism, Culture, Heritage – $25,000 and five Cape Breton municipalities – $25,000. Next part of the process is meetings/interviews and community input meetings.  Community input sessions in Victoria County will take place April 17th at Neil’s Harbour (9:00 am) and Gaelic College, St. Ann’s at 2:00 pm.
