I am interested in visiting Cape Breton, but we are coming in on a cruiseship on Sep 25. Is it possible to rent a car and drive there in a few hours? Or is it just too far? Thanks NC Saunders

Hi Nan, You will probably landing in Sydney, NS with your cruiseship. There are a number of car rental agencies in Sydney :
Budget – 1-800-268-8900
Avis – 1-800-879-2817
Enterprise – 1-800-rent-a-car
National – 1-800-227-7366
Alamo -1-800-844-9041
Discount – 1-866-310-2277
You will need more than a few hours to see Fortress of Louisbourg and Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. I would allow at least 4-5 hrs. Louisbourg is 30 plus minutes away from Sydney and Baddeck is 1 hour away. Cabot Trail is a 3-5 day trip. Hope this helps you.
