With Canadian E-Tourism Awards and TIAC - Tourism Industry of Canada Awards being presented the same week there was lots of excitement in the tourism Industry. Nova Scotia fared out really well winning three awards at TIAC - 1) DELOITTE INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD - NS Tourism, Culture & Heritage, 2) PARKS CANADA SUSTAINABLE TOURISM AWARD - Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, 3) METRO TORONTO CONVENTION CENTRE EVENT OF THE YEAR AWARD - Celtic Colours International Festival.
At Canadian E-Tourism Awards, Antigonish Eastern Shore Tourism Association won an award for the best tourism campaign for the small private sector. Diane Slaunwhite won best photo for morning mist at Baddeck Bay. Congratulations to all the winners.
