This was the title from a document I received recently from Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) – Tourism 2007 – Report to the industry, Philadelphia and the Countryside, “Marketing Gets Personal”. I was intrigued and kept reading. Some interesting topics that got my eye in their 41 page report – “Philly is more fun when you sleep over”, on-line booking for hotels from their destination web site, no need to leave the site, uwishuna blog for visitors & residents, podcasts tours, GPTMC hires a Director of Social Media, Expand the Philly’s more Fun Brand message, enhance our audiences interaction with the Philadelphia brand – two way communication with visitors, such as social media marketing, consumer -generated media , ensure that every GPTMC program/initiaitve has a research foundation and tracking mechanism to guage success, provide accountability measures and inform future marketing direction. I was so impressed by this document and have since visited their web site and blog often. You will enjoyed it too. Some great ideas for your web site and e-marketing campaigns.
